exactly its not 2006 anymore, each year tech gets a rapid drop in prices. And PS5 is fully custom built, which is more of an effort than a price.
As an example, PS3 costed 600, now you can get it for 100.
PS4 costed 400 now you can get it for 200.

And that was 7 years ago. Tech gets cheaper every year, what was 400$ back then , can still be 400$ today with a new tech. the whole pipeline how the games are going to be designed for SSD are going to be way different than what we had before. It's not just about loading fast, i recommend to watch Cherno videos about PS5 (2 parts so far) very informative from someone that has experience in building game engines.

tho that SSD will be like an HDD on ps5, to play PS5 games it would be a bad idea. You'll need specific ones to insert in your bay to use all advantages of SSD

30fps does not represent next gen, it was a tech demo, no polishing, not a real game, tons of stuff was implemented just to show off the engine, and lightning wasnt even used by hardware
