It's definitely not better than GT3. Forza 3 scored better aswell, as far as I remember.
Actually, most of the 360 racing fans won't give a rats ass about GT5. They got Forza 3 and Forza 4 coming up.

The game is way better than Modern Warfare 2.
The way Treyarch handles the flaws and community deserves a 10/10 in my book. I'm enjoying this game.

You forgot Gears of War 3 though, which will probably be hyped through the roof and do better than Killzone 3 and inFamous 2 combined.
Socom 4 and Twisted Metal will suck balls. LBP2 will be good though.
