No problems here, downloaded 2.4 before going to work this morning and digging the trophy system. Now where can I get my hands on a $20 PSN card so I can get SSHD
I think they added some for both 80 and 60 gig cause now im able to play King of Fighters XI on my 60 gig and it was unplayable as of 3 days ago.

2.4 is a great update overall
I know Sony is working on Phase 2 of this update right now, hopefully that can be released in the coming months plus more trophy support for upcoming games
They wont win E3 but they'll end up winning the sales war overall im afraid. The Wii will end up having PS2 type numbers in the end but I dont think any flagship 3rd party games will come out for the Wii, still way too underpowered to achieve the ambitions of a true game designer.
But then again money talks so we'll see
That really sucks for the Arcade owners.
The huge install for the PS3 is not really a problem for me at all, I still have about 30GB left on the 60GB and if I need the space I can always go to newegg or something to get another hard drive.
Just sucks for the 360 owners that have to buy the MS hard drive since its wayy too overpriced (unless you are modding of course which voids the warranty)

Physical Media is not going anywhere anytime soon.
If these ISPs start to cap on the amount of bandwidth (like in Texas) then people will not pay the extra price for it. Too many things to worry about right now (high gas prices, foreclosures, increasing energy bills etc)

Anyway Sony did not screw up the gaming industry, if anything Sony made the video game biz as lucrative as it is today and now Microsoft wants some of that money. Nintendo has been in the game for a while and now they are making millions off the Wii.

Trophies are just another fun addition to the PS3, multiplats are going to be more equal than ever since 360 and PS3 both have achievement systems and more developers are coming to grasp with the PS3 hardware

Well whoever it was that has the Artifacts, may it be Sony or any other gaming blog/site should get mad props! I wish GTA 4 can have custom soundtracks so I can make my own Classics station (even I love DJ Premiere)

I dont think Nintendo really cares, the system is outselling both the PS3 and the 360. As long as they keep bringing in the dough, they will not care about the core gamer.
Shame too since it was the core gamer that brought nintendo up.
Can't wait to give these trophies and try and now I have no reason why I shouldn't buy Super Stardust HD. I loved the demo but I never got around to buying it.
I can understand why MS decided to drop the price of the 360 soon.
They will definitely have to compete with the PS3 with all of the good stuff coming out for it this year.

Sony delivers on the functionality and people nit-pick and complain about new stuff. I guess thats the society we live in. It will take time to perfect the functionality of the XMB but since this is Sony's first time in the online arena, I'd say that they are doing pretty good.
I on the other hand is excited about this update and can't wait to replay some of my games that are collecting dust.

The Firmware update was pretty quick, no issues here just lol'ed at the 360 fanboys comments. If I need a laugh @ work I already read the open zone for comments from both 360 and PS3 fans.
