There are two ways to look at this.
1. They are extremely confident about their game. A good sign.
2. They're trying to regain your interest in a year full of blockbuster titles. Desperate.
Either way it's a bold move. I just might check it out.

The tropical settings might sound good on paper but it lacks the gritty feel and mud of the original Motorstorm. I guess now they're going to replace mud with water and sand...lame. This is Motorstorm damnit not Sega Rally.
There's nothing wrong with it. Installs are basically the wave of the future. Once you get up to 30-50 GB it's too slow to pull data and media from the Bluray disk when you can access the same data much faster on the HDD.
I bet thats 50 gb of compressed content. The game will need an install of some sort for cache and unzip some files. I'm thinking an install of roughly 5-10 additional gigs sounds about right.
MK and Good of War are clearly the best among those listed. The great thing about MK is the way they handle death, it isn't just the brutal and gory but but funny as well. Its one of the few games where being pwned is just as fun as pwning.
As for God of War, the game is clearly a sadist dream. There are lots of violent games, but none of them are as fiendishly brutal as God of War.

Unfortunately CoD 4 doesn't sound very good, and thats the truth. The gun sounds are all very generic and lacks the cracking effect of most real guns like the M16 and AK. To compound the issue there isn't any enviromental effects what so ever. All the guns sound the same regardless if you're firing inside a room, down the hallway or across the street. The sound doesn't "bounce" and travel as it would in the real world.

$60 for a controler? Thats the same price as a game. Think I'll skip.
Since most of you haven't played Mafia so please do yourself a favor and STFU. Mafia's world will probably be smaller than GTA, there will be less vehicals and all that crazy stuff but that isn't what's Mafia about. Mafia is more story oriented and the gunplay is better than GTA. They're both very similar yet different game.

This game better cost $35 'cause that looks the same as last year's version. Its obvious that Madden 2009 is gonna be crap now.
Anyone with any real CS experience can attest to this. Vavle knew this from the start that's why they did not include it in Orange Box. In order to make CS work for the console they must change the gameplay to fit the platform and thats the problem.
How can the hell can CS be more successful on the console when the PC version is already played by millions? We're talking the mod and game that gave birth to the tactical FPS genre here. Thats like the saying Xbox Live made Tetris a succesful game, its moronic.
