Mafia 3 is not even close to No Man Lie when it comes to disappointment.
One of VR biggest problems is the buyers remorse.
Week 1: This is awesome! I'm going to show all my friends...
Week 2: Putting this on is a pain in the ass, I'm just going to play regular games.
Basically there isn't a lot of VR owners shouting from the rooftops about how amazing and must have VR is all the time.
A goal of stable 30 FPS across all platforms is idiotic. PCs should be 60 FPS stable.
Awesome! The PS Move comes for free now??
I don't care if they patch it to run silky smooth at 60 FPS like Batman does. It doesn't matter. Releasing a game at 30 FPS is insulting.
I'm sure this $600 add on which tops the price of a PS4 Pro will fly of the shelf right? I mean who wouldn't to pay over half a grand to play casual games?
It doesn't matter. They deserve to get slammed with refunds and bad reviews even if it gets patched. The fact that they have even had the nerve to release a 30 FPS game on the PC is a sign of incompetence.
They should've know better.
30 FPS is a sign of failure on the PC. You know it's a shit game when the experience is 30 FPS locked out of the box. Now if only console gamers are willing to accept the same standards, then maybe the industry will stop screwing us over for once.
SLI support SUCKS. I will never bother with SLI again. I think less than 20% of games I own supports SLI. Whats worst is that the games that do support SLI the vast majority of them have shit scaling. The fact that Gears doesn't support SLI doesn't bother me one bit. I never expected a UWP game to have SLI in the first place.
After trying both the Vive and Rift I learned two things. VR is awesome and only an idiot would buy a headset at this point. In about two years there will be headsets that will leave the first gen Rift, Vive, and PSVR in the dust. The display tech will dramatically improve, the field of view will get bigger and the sets will get lighter.
It'll be like the 1st gen Toyota Prius vs the new Tesla. There's no way in hell Im burning money on VR. If I have $600 to spend o...
"Checkerboard is not upscaling" Hahahaha!
What went wrong is everything. It's a game built on hype and lies.
Yup the 900p-1080p narrative is coming back to bite Sony in the ass.
This right here. Texture resolution is the real difference maker. It's what separate console and PC.
I'm not sure why you're getting hate but it's absolutely true. You can easily run this game at 4K 60 FPS or 1080p 60 FPS without god like hardware. You just need to disable MSSA and tone down useless details like mirrors reflection quality. I have a i5 980 GTX in a small ITX case hooked up to my TV, I get 1080p 60 FPS all day with mostly ultra settings. The Xbox One can't even come close to how incredibly smooth this game runs.
It's just week one, with...
I'm a PC gamer with a TV as well and I'm looking forward to MS implementation of more crossplay.
MS better not screw up the good will they have with PC gamers from Horizons 3. If this launch is like the Gears Ultimate launch then it's curtains for the Windows Store.
Froza Horizon 3 was my 1st Xbox experience on the PC and I loved it. If I also like what I see with Gears 4 then getting a Scorpio might be a real possibility. The crossplay and mod support features are simply too good to ignore any further.
This game better not need a 1080 GTX to get 60 FPS. Because all of the Windows Store DX 12 games aside from Froza runs like shit. As it stands DX 12 is a total lie.
I don't have this problem though it could happen to some people. To me eye strain is a bigger issue. After 2hours of VR my eyes feels like I spent all day staring into a flashlight.
