The other console lets you disable the non-gaming related advertisement but it still has discovery advertisements that will advertise Xbox Live Gold and other Xbox related stuff that you can't disable.
I think the ads are great for regular users. I mean they aren't very intrusive and they let people discover new features really easily. Not everyone goes to these sites (IGN, Polygon, Gamespot, etc.) and will know that can get free games with service ____. Or know tha...
It should be on by default with an optional way to disable. Users aren't going to enable it themselves, and as a platform owner who sells your consoles at likely very low margins, they want you to explore the platform so they can generate their real revenue. The advertisement directly gives them money and can be used to let regular users to learn about features or games they would only normally not know about if they went to N4G, IGN or GameSpot which the vast majority of people don't...
There are new instruments that work with Xbox One. The issue is that OLD instruments don't work with Xbox One WITHOUT the adapter. That's why the standalone edition cost more but the bundled game (with new instrument) doesn't cost more. If you're getting a standalone (without an instrument) version, it's probably because you want to use old instrument, so they are bundling it.
I was sad when I found that out but on the bright side it supports some other type of DLNA though, I forgot the term. It's like Apple Air Play except not proprietary. On Windows 7+ (or Windows Phones), without installing anything, you can right click a compatible video file and click 'Play To' which pushes the video onto the TV. You don't have the perks of DLNA servers but it has its own benefits and it's better than nothing.
There are a lot of sites that use flash ads. Nobody really uses flash for their core layout anymore. Most flash oriented sites are video sites or games sites and like I said you shouldn't be playing flash games on your TV and YouTube has everything except the illegal stuff or porn.
Because you don't need flash for Youtube, games and flash based sites aren't meant to be controlled with a controller. The only thing you really miss out on is streaming from the sites that don't upload their stuff to Youtube, copyrighted stuff or porn.
Except 16GB is horrible for a PS3. PS3's eat up harddrive space like it's candy. Updates are huge, you need double the space to install games from PSN(it duplicates data and deletes the uncompressed install files afterwards). Then you got the 5GB mandatory installs for most games. Then there's the fact that it's going to be less than 16GB because of how retailers count bytes and whatever is required for the OS.
Except most PS3 games don't use dedicated servers...(only one I can think of is battlefield 3) A dedicated server means that you basically have one server(computer) running each instance of a game(that's how it works in terms of web hosting and PC gaming at least). Most games use P2P... some 360 games use dedicated servers too but most don't for both platforms because it's way too expensive.
There are many factors to why people say Live is better than PSN it...
@dcbronco sarcasm
US does have like half the world's wealth...US(NA in this case) also does have the biggest gaming industry in the world...But Japan who is 1/3 the population of US and don't have the same spending mentality as Americans seems like a pretty big deal to me.
Agreed. Because people who buy a new Xbox 360 can't play old games or multiplatform games it can only be exclusives or you have nothing to play. Don't forget $5 a month is way too much to justify paying for a better online platform. Why should we have to pay for a service that cost millions of dollars to operate? They should be losing money, not us. That is why Micro$hit is greedy they don't want to lose money offering something expensive for free. You know Sony are good people wh...
People need to stop approving articles from random sites that write controversial articles to attract visitors.
It sbasically the same thing.
Kudos the thread on the forums by login into your PlayStation Network account.
Kudos the thread.
Like to every rule this is the exception that always exists.
Um yeah it is worth paying for, 17 cents a day to be able to record messages nd have it stored on servers instead of text messages stored on your hard drive? That can only be accessed on the PS3 you view them all.
Ability to report cheaters or spammers (You need to hire moderators) and that's included in the 17 cents a day.
And the fact that SCE doesn't charge, makes it so developers lose a percentage of their profits therefore release less demos on PSN, about every ...
This list is actually more updated. The last one is unorganized and has some false or lacks new info.
Have u seen how many pennies people treat like garbage. Go outisde for half an hour and you got yourself over 25 cents.
There's been advertisements on PS4 UI for a while. I've had a separate tile telling me to get PlayStation Now 2 tiles away from my actual PlayStation Now tile.
