I think with all this cross-gen and cross play stuff going on, games without online requirement will be rare in the upcoming gen.

Game pass is a great deal, no doubt about it. Still buying PS5, though. Sony will respond eventually, if they start recognizing it as a threat. Upcoming gen will give us the answer I think.

Chasing native 4k with current reconstruction technics seems super inefficient. I literally cannot see the difference from 1m on a 55 inch TV. No one will care! Yep. I think Series S is aimed at PS5 fans. Even the colors are similar. MS knows it has a big chance to be the second console under the tv.
You don't need to cancel. Those will be available on PS5. They will want their money back.

PS5 has it too. I think it's one of those new standard features any following console should have. Long time overdue.
