This is definitely an intriguing question. I have found myself searching for loot in games (usually retro titles) and the thrill of potentially finding an ultra-rare item is a great incentive for me.
Parents have had and will always have the responsibility to guide their children. Video games are just one of the scapegoats that lazy parents have used to avoid confronting the overall issue of their neglect of their children.
