I can agree with you. But I still don't think *many people* will be playing launch games in 2/3 years time. I love revisiting games like Motorstorm and SSHD but I doubt too many care about launch games when theres new games to be playing.
Lets be fair, all launch games are basically tech demos. I don't think many people will be playing launch games 2/3 years down the line. I don't think many did with the PS3 + 360 and I think the same will happen here.
His score aside, he makes a very good point about the monetization of games. The way you can buy abilities which can be unlocked through progress is shocking. The whole gaming community needs to keep an eye out for these kind of things and not buy into the idea.
Awkwaaaard.
*receives money bag*
Awkwardness redeemed!
(takes off running, with a bag of money)
Bahaha
Greatness is sat in a warehouse freezing its tits off.
TELL.US you bastards!
Does anyone remember Rune: Viking Warlord? You could throw around axes and swords AND turn off gravity so they'd fly forever. What a game.
Sounds like you grew up! It's a trap!
Edit: Yeah I see what you mean. What do you mean by locked nature? Surely you'e after a locked console made to be able to take a disc and play games thats it.
Karma's a bitch.
Fuck you EA
I did not know that. Strange win for UK, but ill take it.
Crazy people, crazy people everywhere.
…christ!
jesus...
Nah Lifestyle is a good site. Nitpicking.
Literally!
AND Demon Souls 2. Dat overhype
The killer apps in todays generations have been displaced by the need to ship out anything on launch day regardless of standard because that can make or break a console. As the profits have rises for the publishers they have more to lose (their insane) profits, to the proportion put towards game development (in proportion to the amount of new tech/research and development) is not equal.
So I agree. And I loved Rogue Squadron so much!
