I find that among some critics, be it gaming or otherwise, there seems to be a silent competition for who can write the most scathing reviews. I believe some of them are too jaded to truthfully critique anything through their generally hateful, grumpy lens.

I recall the 360 GPU not being available for PC's at the time of it's release.
