Batman arkham knight blows your theory out of the water. If anything the big game companies are more focused on console than pc. Ubisoft had over 50% of its sales on console. Gta sold way more on console than pc and had to wait over a year and still pay full price. The big triple a games releasing this year star wars,cod and fallout will all sell more on console.
