Eurogamer gave AC4 an 8. Would read their reviews any day over IGN's anyway. This game is no Chromehounds and I believe it is not trying to be. Its more like Zone of Enders which was ace for its time. Besides online play should make it a blast as no one mech is going to be alike.
Reason for low score is its not everybodies cup of tea really, not mainstream enough to appeal to every dikk and harry.

Anyways, the manager from our local GAME Store here in UK went last week to a gaming conference in Dublin and there he had the chance to play the MP version of GoW. Man the guy was raving about it to absolutely every person coming into the store. He said, no frame rate hickups, no latency, no screen tearing etc..

This game is developed by the same people who did "System Shock" and this game had sub par graphics but what made it stand out was the art style and creative gameplay, can not se it being any different for this title and am happy for it being so!

This game sold over 500,000 copies in two weeks in the US alone it will be released on the 8th Sep. in Europe where it will sell just as much if not more. This game deserves to be on both platforms as it would be nice for Sony fans to experience this game.

Thats not really a blow to Sony at all. As Sony confirmed that the console is backwards compatible with the PS1/2 people can just buy a PS2 version.

Thats sounds amazing, but!!! I seriously doubt that you could make portals anywhere you want this would just be impossible as you would need somekind of crazy coding for the game that constantly evolves (not a programmer so might be BS). Think about it Prey was in development for over 8 years and their main drawing point were these "portals", however they could not manage to create a form of random spawn for these.Do you think they were incapable of doing it??

It is about precision of movement and aiming accuracy. I play on my 360 quite a lot especially the run and gun shooters like Black,Doom3 and Halo and a controller is fine for that (autoaim anyone). But playing CSS on a controller is travesty and thats a fact.
