I agree with you. I wasn't a fan of the final boss fight of Infinite either, it just felt like 'hey let's have a boss fight now'.
Horde 3.0 is why I played until the last minute I HAD to start writing it all up. With a strategic team it's going to be an amazing experience.
I really enjoyed the campaign. Don't want to spoil it, but I really warmed up to JD by the time the credits rolled.
