Clearly you haven't played Until Dawn if you think it's the same type of game. Until Dawn has branching paths QTE's that effect the narrative as well as action scenes.
The only way the two are the same is they are both semi horror themed. The gameplay however is completely different.
But does the flying move significantly faster than moving on the ground?
See, you don't understand it's not flying that PS5's I/O allows for, it's flying at high speeds. That's what the Spider-Man demo that Cerny showed off in the very first PS5 reveal was about.
And keep in mind the PS5 I/O speed allows them to use much higher quality textures and geometry in the distance than on HDD because HDD can't load the textures into memory...
No, I'd like IGN to acknowledge that it is open source and not make it seem like it's exclusive to xbox. My issue isn't with what's presented it's how it's presented.
Sony doesn't need to do that. If you understand the tech you would understand why it's available to Sony as well as many older GPUs and even GPU's from other manufacturers.
The only difference here is Microsoft is trying to present this in a way that tries to change the whole narrative about the tech to make it seem like they have something special when it's completely opened source, open platform and platform agnostic.
Interesting take considering Ratchet and Clank which is PS5 only releases next week. And of course if you've already forgotten R&C I suppose there is no chance you remember that Sony publishes many second party games like Destruction All Stars and has partners who are making PS5 only games.
Interesting bias to not mention the fact that it works on PS5 too. But of course IGN doesn't get paid to promote one console over the other... Don't you dare say they do!
I got the PS4 version from gamefly for 20 bucks, when it arrived it had all the stuff that came with it like new it even had an HBO discount which was unused.
I'm hoping they let me upgrade it to the full PS5 version.
People want to talk down on Sony right now but who cares about them. Sony has so many games in development from PlayStation Studios and partners it's crazy. They are going to keep doing what they do which is make games.
Sony said they belie in generations. So far they have a new controller (vs Microsoft recycled controller) new UI/UX (Microsoft recycled) new Tempest audio (Microsoft recycled Dolby) semms like the hardware is pretty next gen. Then we look at games the console launched with a next gen exclusive Demon Souls, has had two nest gen exclusive releases Destruction All Stars and Returnal and they have another next gen only game right around the corner with Ratchet and Clank.
Yea yea, you don't get a PS5 and let someone else who wants it get it because these articles aren't going to stop Sony from selling every single console they can make.
