I'd beg to differ, a modern retro Metroid FPS is actually what tickles everyone born before the 2000s itch! I'd take this over 95% of games on the market today. Simple, clean, and not so hand-holdy go here, listen to dialogue, go there, action phase rinse repeat... Oh and I play pretty much everything in terms of genres. Right now on BF6, Metroid, Ball Pit X, Hitman 3, Lies of P, and the new racing game from the devs of Burnout Paradise, which I am absolutely loving.

I have played them all and this game surpasses the stiff counterstrike wannabe valorant and has unique gameplay aspects like health pickups
Overwatch 2 is really bad and not fun imo
Apex is great but it’s a battle royal and the finals is a lot more fun but less great.
I am digging this game right now, hopefully people will give it a chance.
I actually love the gameplay. You can’t see your character so calm down yall with the I don’t like character design etc. but you’ll play Spyro the dragon and say it’s amazing, even though that thing looks like a plushie “dragon”

I’m actually having a blast playing the game. What I’ve noticed is you don’t actually ever hear anyone talking positively about games too much anymore in the comments sections yet everyone keeps buying and playing them…
