If theyre only looking for a lead designer now, Wipeout is hardly going to be a launch title. But as you said:

I thought that was only a tech demo to show the PS3 running at 1080p??? Sony asked Polyphony could they show something at E3 so they threw that together in a few weeks. Not sure theyre releasing it. But the thought of GT5 has me drooling, especially hearing theyre finally (about frickin time) adding realtime damage to the vehicles. But that'll hardly be running at 1080p.
