brilliant by sony they get the 399$ price in the mind share of average consumers and they will bait and switch the $500+ before they know whats happening . seen as vastly cheaper than oculus without being vastly cheaper . only sony could get away with this in the media , can't blame them for using their media bias to their advantage .

my opinion the one that should be jumping on this is nintendo , i'm sure they will try again with 3rd party games and a 20+ million day 1 base for your user to play with sure would help .
would have been better if they just took the hit and included the camera that keeps people from power vomiting in the living room , i can see some pissed parents when they realize they need to add another 70$ . that said its a fine price not over or under probably about right .

in a world where more and more AAA games relie on microtranactions as a source of revenue , larger longer lasting vibrant communities make allot of sense from a business perspective . everybody wins if we encourage this to be widely adopted .
