That's an interesting disctinction man, but I meant debt as in 'debt of gratitude' or 'debt of respect'. I didn't mean we owe them for the whole industry's existence today, or even that we owe them an alleigance to their current products, but that they deserve more respect and gratitude than they seem to have been getting for a while.

Nintendo does indeed owe everyone who buys or has bought it's products, but even people who've only ever had Xboxes or Playstations have still gained from Nintendo R&D over the past decade. So they owe Nintendo a tip of the glass every now and then.
