Defo a polarising title. Gamespot gave it a 9 while IGN gave it a 6.5. Some will truly love it and some will tear it to pieces. Still can’t wait to get my hands on this game!
Folklore for me, never really had the chance to play it back then. Would love to play it now
90M worldwide, this is just tracking US sales
Hands down, my Game of the Year for this year is without a doubt, God of War. Everything from the story, the amazing Stranger boss fight in the beginning, the amazing chemistry between Kratos and Atreus, the genuine smooth flow of the combat system where it feels grounded yet incredibly satisfying where you know that you are playing a God of War game. It’s crazy how Cory and his team were able to make this game and pull it off into being one of the most amazing games of the year. Props to Son...
The news that GOW got extremely good to almost perfect reviews, and the video of Cory Barlog crying because of how the good the reviews really made my year. To see someone so passionate in their product makes me believe that the game industry still has companies that emphasises on quality rather than quantity.
Definitely the closure of Telltale games. Their games were one of the best when they were at their peak. Storytelling was bar none compared to others, with decisions actually impacting the story. Their recent games unfortunately were not up to par and most of them became sort of dissapointments.
I loved them and I hated that they closed down. I hope that more companies will start making better decision making games like Telltale did. I know that Supermassive Studios, Quanti...
Sony Santa Monica Studios for me. Everyone knew God of War was gonna be a great game, but they didn’t know that it was gonna be THAT good. They perfectly timed the reveal at Sony E3 2016, with such a perfect trailer to match it with.
The best part? No presence of micro transactions at all. Not even an ounce of it. This is rare for games this generation, and I applaud them for not succumbing to the deadly pleasures of micro transactions.
Can’t wait for w...
Definitely Bethesda Studios. The promises and hype that they made for Fallout 76 was too much and they failed to deliver even half of what was promised. Physically they failed in getting the right orders to their customers (nylon bag scandal) and even with the recent breach in customer security.
I hope they fix themselves before becoming much worse.
For me, the best voice actor would always be the one who voiced the legendary Solid Snake, David Hayter.
He practically nailed it on how Snake was suppose to sound, with how grizzled and tough sounding he is. David Hayter portrayed Snake the best, and I will always love that man for that.
Jeffrey Rath. The guy who voiced Link in Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon.
Not only was that game a steaming pile of garbage, Link’s voice actor made Link sound like an annoying and downright overly hyperactive guy which didn’t fit the game at all.
Oh man, wish I would’ve never experienced that game and that voice acting in the first place.
Definitely 4A Games, or more precisely, the two founders of that studio, Oles Shishkovstov and Alexander Maximchuk. The Metro series is one of the best post-apocalyptic games that I’ve played. Not to mention that these two were former employees of GSC Game World, the same company that made the amazing STALKER series as well (It’s been confirmed that GSC Game World is reforming and making a new STALKER game, titled STALKER 2, coming in 2021).
The upcoming Metro: Exodus shoul...
Personally for me, the most overrated game designer so far has to be Todd Howard (probably the most infamous man in gaming as of now)
I used to love playing Oblivion, that was my first major foray into Bethesda’s game. Choices that you made actually impacted the world, and you can see that the game wasn’t lazy in its implementation. Fallout 3 was amazing as well, and not to mention Skyrim, which is probably the most amazing and most overrated game in recent history as well....
Okay but still, this article has got no relevency at all with days gone.
Stop bringing up totally a different game just to prove your agenda on an article that has no correlation with it
What has that got to do with anything my man? Why bring days gone out of nowhere?
Because the PPSH-41 was actually the second most used SMG in the german forces back in WW2, so the game is actually correct to actual real life events.
Also, don’t compare this game to Wolfenstein when you yourself obviously haven’t played it. Wolfenstein 2 is a really great game, but saying COD:WW2 a rubbish game compared to Wolfenstein is unfair. This COD is probably one of the best COD that I have played in the last few years.
So what? You want them to just say screw this game and everyone who played it by just ignoring the problems this game had? They are trying to make amends and improve the game for the better.
They ignore the game, they get criticised. They try to fix the game, still gets criticised. Damn give them a break dude
You could not have been more far off
@trywizardo
What the heck is wrong with you?
Exactly dude, I can't help but feel there's some kind of scripting involved
Come on, clearly this score is bait. Currently at 84 on Metacritic, and this is just one of the reviews thats trying to further take down the score. I understand it being a 6/7, but a 3 basically means the game is unplayable and broken.
