An interesting article. I love Dark Souls and I can almost see where the author is coming from with the co-op and exploration aspects, but really they're just too different.
I do however think the next Zelda should mix thing's up a bit, maybe try some new things, make puzzles and combat a bit harder and get rid of the side character telling you what to do all the time whether you want help or not...
Hunter mode is great. I can't help but shake the feeling this is gonna be a rather mediocre game though.
I mean look at Crysis 2 reviews, look how high THEY were. And once you've taken away the graphics what are you really left with?
I'm sure Wii U owners wont be missing out on much...

As for Monster Hunter It only really sells in Japan. I think people are understimating Soul Sacrifice & Phantasy star online 2, I reckon they'll shift a few Vita's over there. Soul Sacrifice is a game Sony are actually putting a bit of marketing behind for once lol. Heres hoping anyway

So good to see a traditional JRPG doing well these days
It is huge let down, I agree. Especially after everyone thinking it was gonna be a brand new Resident Evil (Or Fatal Frame). Look at what games like Resident Evil Zero & Resident Evil 4 did for the Gamecube, Resi 4 was a massive reason to own a Gamecube back in the day.
I kind of thought they'd remember that and use a new Resi to their advantage to shift a few more Wii U units.
Gonna pre-order this as soon as possible :)

Honestly you'll have trouble finding a game with Mario in the title that sold less than a million on the Gamecube.
