WKC is the best rpg Ive ever played. It took me back to the NES and old playstation days. Xenogears, dragon warrior, FF, phantasy star online, and skies of arcadia all in one game. Level 5 is the new Enix/Squaresoft IMHO.
The only reason why there is hate for this game is cause its a ps3 exclusive. It saddens me to see reviews for this game because to me its a AAA title, and all of these sites are just giving it a bad name simply because its a game suited for old school gamers. Its not a game that these cod loving media types would like anyways. They only like noob friendly games.

The combat system in ME2 is flawed at best. Sure the rpg elements are deep, but not near as deep as WKC, and isn't half the action game Uncharted or God of War is. Its the jack of all trades, but master at none.
bullcrap, this is easily one of my goty awards. This is possibly the purest form of rpg this gen. Only shallow, single minded people would ever think that lip syncing affects gameplay in a game as huge and diverse as in WKC. Its in 4 different languages, and yet still the western version tells as grand a story if not better then its international counterparts. Well first off, noone cares what a 360 fan has to say about a ps3 exclusive. Secondly, this game is targeted towards one type of audience, and thats old school rpg fans. Agreed. 23 hours plus unlimited mmo online with no subscription fees gives us unlimited amount of WKC to play. This author fails to explain that of course. Also, the game is gorgeous, and most cut scenes use the games engine which means "technically" its a huge achievement considering how huge this game is.
Plain and simple the game is freakin epic! The best mixture of leveling up, story, and online seen in any genre of game. Anyone who passes on this but loves rpgs...
