I also remember when the diehard Xbots were defending the price increase by saying it's still a great value because you still get access to thousands of games even when they made it stupidly expensive for no reason.
I will never understand why people want forced ads in their faces in their games or their console. It's never worth it not even with a lower price tier.
Everything you said about physical media has been proven false BTW. Most games on disc can be played from start to finish even without a patch. Also hundreds of games on disc contain all the data necessary to run the game. A Twitter user by the way of @Doesitplay has already proven that. People gotta stop this tired narrative that physical media is dying. It couldn't be further from the truth.

When Xbox barely even talks about Series X anymore and they're jumping all the way to talk about Project Helix a year and a half away after selling WAY less than Xbox One and with just as much a gap in sales as last gen, it absolutely is a failure.
And that is exactly why it will fail. Aiming your console at ONLY core gamers is not enough to build a necessary install base to generate profit. Microsoft doesn't even get most of the revenue from Ally X sales, ASUS does.
Will be extremely overpriced and DOA. Calling it now.
Everything you said is BS. If you didn't care where they put their games you would've never made this comment. And you've made it clear you CLEARLY have a favorite platform. Just because you own a ps5 and pc doesn't negate that.
This shouldn't be surprising. A console maker SHOULD be putting their console first.
We get it. You hate PS is no longer putting their exclusives on PC while your favorite platform is giving theirs away to PC and other platforms.
Core gamers haven't seen the price either. It doesn't matter if it's for core gamers if:
A. It's priced out of most core gamers' range.
B. Most of Xbox's games are on other platforms.
Xbox's core fanbase is shrinking and an overpriced console is NOT going to keep them around or make them come back.
When will that be? Before or after the utter failure of the Series X/S?
And now Phil is being replaced by an AI exec with no background about gaming. Yeah that's definitely gonna fix things.
This is idiotic of Sony to do. All they had to do was have them do another remake/remaster instead of shoving another GaaS game onto them. This will be a tremendous loss for them as they never put out a bad game.
The less live services they do the better. Their single player games will ALWAYS be their bread and butter.
They're never gonna hit that target but hey thanks Microsoft for the games. Putting them on PS5 was the only way I was ever gonna play them in the future.
GTA6 will have this game exceeding the PS4's lifetime sales in a year the day it drops.
People wanted a price drop but there was always gonna be some sort of tradeoff for it. They're not gonna keep CoD on Game Pass forever KNOWING people are gonna buy it anyway simply because it's CoD. People continue to buy it every year without questioning its quality and MS knows this.
But hey GP is cheaper... until the next price increase.
