What nice would be if Japanese companies could release a new game of all our favorite JRPGs every 2 years instead of how things are now that we get a new game every 5-10 years... Naughty Dog was able to do that with UC 1, 2, 3 (2007, 2009, 2011) & Japanese companies need an eternity to finish a new sequel especially SE, back in PS1 days things weren't like that, we got FFVII, VIII, IX, X in 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, a new FF almost every year & there was so many other amazing JRPGs ...
If SE ruin the next FF like that horrible trash abomination FFXV & most of all if they fail to deliver with the remake of FFVIIIR then expect major drop in sales because thousands if not millions of fans are not gonna forgive them for this ever!
Instead of FF VIII / IX I would prefer much more to see a Xenogears remake, that game is 10 times better than those 2 games together, for me one of the TOP 3 JRPGs ever made.
The only game above FFVII remake in short is DQ XI both in PS4 & 3DS & that make sense as it's close to release in JPN, JRPG fans are hungry for a traditional turn-based rpg as am I, DQ XI is also my most anticipated game atm.

There is 1 thing though that even rocks know, after Sakaguchi lest Squaresoft & the company merge with Enix every single FF released was a garbage & FF die that moment, the last FF released was X anything after that is FF in name only & it doesn't have the attributes & the quality original FF's had before Square merge with Enix.

I agree that way they will know to be ready for anything even for a game that had a really good story in the start to turn into a bloody mess that ruin everything in the end, so next time they will not get overhyped for anything they read about a game & keep their expectations as low as possible in order to not get disappointed badly in the end.
