I guess developers making xbox live arcade games are going to have to work harder for our money... you will see a bunch of puzzle, and other great games... Now, that's what I call a true user created platform...
You didn't say that when Sony had 2 firesells and like 4 different SKU within 6 month of the PS3 release... it's about time Microsoft drop the price of the xbox 360... they only dropped the price by $50 since the xbox 360 release (2 1/2 years ago).
And do you remember sells prior to PS3 price drop? yes, price drop jump start sells... You are just scared that if microsoft drop the xbox 360 can increase sells.

I guess it was worth it for them to avoid the Unreal Engine and work on their own; maybe they can license their engine to other companies too.
so, why did they anounce this game like 2 years ago? So, must for trying to sell consoles for a game that will not be release in 5 years...

I just checked my xbox 360 movie market place and there are 322 Movies and a lot more TV shows... it's crazy fast to download previews and to rent movies... only takes like 15 seconds to start watching the movie after purchasing... lots of anti digitial distribution / pro blu-ray here... believe that it will take 10 years before it's possible to watch movies via download...
There is no way that it takes anyone less than 15 seconds to drive to the video store and rent a movie......

I also blame Intel and AMD for the killing! they probably made the CPUs which run the game! if AMD and intel wouldn't exist then the guy wouldn't be playing the game! But microsoft can really benefit from the Unreal Engine... they can optimize it for the xbox 360. Integrate some of the engine into DirectX and the XNA framework. Provide the Unreal Engine as part of the SDK for developers to use with...

The fact that HD DVD is in trouble simply means microsoft made the right choice... the xbox 360 would probably be in deep trouble if it had an HD DVD since people would look at it as an HD DVD player...
