To me Killzone 2, Uncharted 2 and MGS 4 (their Platinum editions are being sold for dirt cheap) for PS3 and Halo 3, ODST, Mass Effect 1-2 for Xbox 360 is the games that gives you most for the money. Just my opinion of course.
