There are more than enough quality games for PS3 to warrant a purchase. Arguably this gens best new ip in Uncharted is exclusive.
Also the best selling bluray player is the PS3 i believe
My number 1 choice. Honorable mention goes to Isaac from Deadspace for being badass and Nero from DMC because the Trigun voice owns.

I have a launch model and almost the entire bottom half is comprised of a huge fan and heat sink. I know they reduced the cell/graphics chip in size to reduce heat but those badboys still run hot enough to require a big fan/heatsink.
Its seems like between the size of those components and a power supply thats almost as big as the blu drive a slim ps3 seems fishy.
i'll be impressed if the can shrink it down further
I would actually like to hear what the majority of people think would be a fair price for a future proofed bluray player/next gen game console.
But i'll tell you one thing. You ain't gettin for 200 bucks anytime soon.
Its expensive yes. However if your a fan of PS games and you have the cash it is absolutely worth every penny.
and i could not give two craps about trophies. They add nothing to the game. Pop in MGS, and aim for the badge/animal ranks. These at least unlock extras guns/camo/unlimited ammo.
In my opinion, trophies are good for games that lack a reward system but to put in games that already have unlockables for beating it while fulfilling certain criteria just seems redundant.
On the other hand, maybe it would be cool for everyone to know you achieved BIG BOSS statu...

I'm still holding off on watching the Head rip video. It will be viewed for the first time in person
and put your mind at ease. The game is gorgeous on the PS3. I don't expect a GB lensoftruth outcome this time around. Fight NIght is done justice, already preordered
Please do not get to wrapped up in this war for motion tech. Its lame. I know that the Wii is a rampant success for it but they don't make real games. Now your main competitor seems to be betting the house on it. Seriously, the future of gaming isn't people throwing roundhouse kicks in their living room. We love you they way you are.

Ok. i really had nothing to say. i just wanted to quote East Bound & Down
except for some of the magic effects, most notably the ice affects. To me they don't impress. But the rest is looking nice.
With that said, i think this may be the first time FF doesn't sell based on the name alone. i'll be waiting for the reviews this time around (usually preorder most things FF)
I check these comparison videos often and most of the time i walk away either not knowing the difference or the difference is so minimal that i'm not disappointed in the PS version. This is not one of those times. I think this one is hands down for the box. Sad really. i mean look at exclusives for the PS3. This could have been alot better.

Koji had the decency to wrap up Snake's story before this series jumped the shark. I don't mind MG going multi plat but motion controls and another MG with Raiden in the driver's seat? Who are they even catering to now? I'm officially out of touch.Damn
Hell, look at ff9. The whole game was an accumulation of humor and quirky rpg elements. An underated FF in my opinion
start of another amazing PS series. PS1 started MGS, PS2 started GOW, and now the PS3 brings Uncharted. Mark my words, this is the series that will make people buy PS4's in anticipation of the next game.
Its rare when great tech is matched with great writing and acting.

I loved playing FF7 but i don't think a remake would be the ultra success everyone thinks it would be. I mean the majority of PS3 fans that play RPG's most likely finished FF7 or at least knows what happens story wise. Would it look amazing? Yeah, i think so but how much of an impact would (SPOILER COMING )........seeing Seph kill Aerith make when you already know its coming.
Now a brand new story in that particular FF universe. That is something i'd pay cash money for.
I cannot wait to play that game. I love the animations they created for battling/struggling with the stone warriors.
I just wish more of the PS3 audience would embrace the ICO guys. They deserve to be as hailed as Kojima and company. Not only do they keep bringing new ideas to the table of what a game can be they also help push graphics in a very creative way.
its hard to say that console A is holding back console B because a multi plat game from early on this gen is still kicking most of the competition's ass today. That game is DEAD SPACE. Whenever i see a bad port to my PS3 i just think that the team responsible just wasn't giving the extra effort.
Then again i know nothing of game development.
If those stills are from gameplay then i have to say its looks damn good. Although the character designs look silly to me for some reason. anyway looking forward to seeing it in motion
I'll give them the the MW series is awesome but MW1 was replaced by KZ2 in my collection.
MW2 will be trumped by an inevitable KZ3 in my opinion (this is my personal pref for the scifi story and better level designs)
With that being said, Activision can take a large pile of their silly plastic instruments and sit on them.
