RDR was really well done. I agree with the article, that your mind became a swirl of everything that had happened and that you had gone through in the game.
I did pretty much every stranger mission, which i have to say really built up the story well in the terms of vast land, problems, and end of the old west. Reading a newspaper after the ending also had a great effect - Really was the end of the old west.
