Not at all. If i have a Ferrari wheel on my Ford, it's still a Ford. Assassin's creed as some rpg elements, and it's not an rpg. Same with god of war. It is. I had to explain the concept of seasons to most of my friends that are new to the genre. And Blizzard taking elements of mmorpg doesn't help, because it attracts mmo players, who are used to play the same character for years. So people thinking they could lose it make them lise their mind xD
Put the stuff that make you use one button, or just check the movie on YouTube if you don't want to play at all and enjoy the great story.
It's not an RPG. It's an action/adventure with rpg elements.
