Warhawk doesn't get a mention? That was worth every penny.

Most fps games do rubbish, quick-time filled single player campaigns which aren't worth chips. I dislike the idea of map packs, but I certainly would prefer to see more emphasis placed on multiplayer if it is made at the expense of a tacked on and useless single player campaign. There are plenty of decent single player games to keep me happy.

I'm sure N4G would be creaming their pants over this game if it was PS4 exclusive. In fact, I'd guarantee it; proof can be found in articles before this game was noted as an Xbox exclusive. How often did people remark that it would *certainly* be made available on PS4. These comments were rated very highly.

I think I might do an experiment to test the fervent bias on this website.

Everybody knows this website is a Sony wankfest.

At what point does the title suggest that? It said $149 graphics card can beat Xbox One. And if you've been following the PC crowd, you'd know that games are graphics intensive. Slap any half decent CPU plus the customary 8gb ram and it will beat Xbox One comfortably.

Helpful hint - the headline reads: according to Take Two.

The publishers are not going to come out and say it was a failure. The long term effects of this move on their reputation are yet to be properly known, and the amount of cheating that went on this game represents exactly what people thought of microtransactions.

We need more splitscreen games on PC. Great move if so, and I'd sacrifice the keyboard/mouse combo for a mate and two controllers. Who cares about winning when you're having a laugh?

MAG and Titanfall are totally different games. Imo, MAG got a lot of stick because the gunplay was quite poor and the gameplay repetitive. I had a great time playing it when it first came out though and I didn't really think about the graphics.

Titanfall is a COD style shooter. Nothing wrong with that, it's just the type of game it is.

If you don't need a portable computer, I would suggest a PC. A desktop computer will do everything you need for work and entertainment for a price comparable to a console + laptop.

If you have a separate television for gaming and enough room in your home to put your workstation alongside your telley, then you can use your PC like a console for all your entertainment needs.

As for the mobile phone comment, try typing out your resume on that. Of course, if ...

Even in the old days, some games attempted to look as realistic as possible while others embraced a different artwork.

Not all games strive towards photorealism, and most who seek to buck the trend tend to reap the rewards ala Minecraft and Borderlands.

Publishing a known and serious bug is having a dig? Do come up with something better mate.

People like The_Infected aren't quite on the ball. They'll still end up paying a couple hundred for a laptop either way. Put two and two together, including steam sales and not having to pay for online gameplay, it quickly becomes a better deal.

People on this website amaze me. You're being disagreed with for *nostalgia*?

I think the trend tends to be flowing towards making your own gameplay experience instead of arbitrarily following X to finish job Y. Look at DayZ or Minecraft - there's no objective there, people just play it. I'd say DayZ is where a lot of games will head in the future.

Nevertheless, there will always be a call for arcade style games. I still play Burnout 3.

Buy a keyboard with media functions?

On big picture and Steam OS, you're using a controller. It's natural that some means of playing music and skipping songs should be available via controller.

Pro Evolution Soccer defined an era in gaming for many people. To me, and many people outside North America, it is inexorably tied to the Playstation 2 era. I played countless games played against my father, both of us choosing our master league teams. To me, PES 6 is still one of the greatest games of all time and it is fitting that a PES game finishes the PS2's reign.

I long for the return of the king, Pro Evo.

100%. The amount of scripting that is happening in FIFA 14 is simply irritating. On ultimate team, I go through patches of five wins and five losses with virtually no exceptions. Despite having the same keeper, one keeper will be unstoppable while the other has butterfingers. Despite having the same striker, one striker scores on every shot while the other finds the car park. Despite having the same defenders, one is capable of obtaining possession while the others get bulldozed by weaker foo...

I absolutely agree, and it's because of this familiar architecture that PC devs are finding it easier to port their PC games to console and vice versa. For games, everyone's a winner, and I'm going PC this gen.

However, there are other areas where consoles could be, in a sense, "optimised." Programmers will be learning how to make the most out of eight weak cores. Right now, in building a gaming system, people often recommend a quad core Intel - it's...
