E3 was basically a letdown all around. Sony didn't show enough stuff, Microsoft obviously went too Kinect happy and Nintendo confused us and announced their usual overmilked series while showing 360 footage instead of actual Wii U footage (I really hate that name). The only saving graces was Sly 4 and the fact that VITA will not only be affordable but has tons of games. No one tried and everyone all most seemed bored and unenthusiastic. Something must really be wrong with my eyes. They are saying that the visuals are up there with 360 and PS3 but from what they showed at the conference the ports look awful. I was watching Darksidrs 2 and Tekken and they didn't look next gen at all. They didn't even look smooth or lifelike. I must need new glasses
Is this good? I thought current consoles already were 1080p capable. Why is this so special?
This whole E3 was a bust. Only thing that made me really happy was the affordable price of the VITA. Otherwise lost intrest in E3, going to play Undersiege.
Was anyone watching the same conference I was? Forget the tech demo, all those ports looked awful. NG3 didn't even look close to a PS3 version. Tekken looked even worse.
So what happened to 'more powerful then the 360 and PS3'? All the ports looked severely low level. Are you telling me that to this day Nintendo can't just this once push the raw power envelope? Take a chance and make an HD console? What is the point playing NG3 on a console that looks worse when I have a perfectly good PS3 right here to play it on?
No offense but the games on it don't look next gen at all. They showed Ninja Gaiden 3 and Tekken but they looked very low level. Not even sure if I can even compare them to the 360's best games. Where is the high end console that was supposed to out class the 360 and PS3 in raw power?
Wii Me? Anyway won't knock it yet but it just looks like just an extension to the Wii. I think people were expecting an overhaul of the whole console complete with high level graphics.

Sigh. They didn't 'jump ship' as the flamebait suggests. They were never a Sony company in the first place. Going multiplat is not jumping ship. That would indicate that they left Sony completely to work for Microsoft. It's amazing what people will do for attention around here. What makes you think that only PS3 fanboys think this? I am sure by the comment I have been reading on several sites many 360 owners aren't happy about the Kinect centered direction Microsoft are doing. Why does everyone assume that criticism automatically means fanboyism?

I agree. You would think that they would be ready with some games running on their new system to show everyone but they seemed unprepared. It was like 'We have a new console and it MIGHT beable to do this' Nintendo seemed out to confuse everyone instead of making clear what they want to do. For example if the controller is not a handheld that can go anywhere why would I want to stare at a smaller screen as opposed to an HDTV. Why would I look away from the TV just to play the game on...
