“all about constantly watching, listening to, and reacting to the community”
Clearly not listening or reacting to the community in this regard.
A great way to keep a games longevity, especially supporting free multiplayer maps. Would be nice to see other companies also take this approach.
A marketing strategy Witcher 3, GTA and CSGO have all implement in there own way, in recent years. Just got to hope its not all smoke and mirrors.
I do believe this is just the mechanics of the game, but I may be wrong. WWI guns would have been less accurate and advanced, as apposed to weapons you find in BF4 and Hardline. I find if you move and shoot you are less accurate, as well as if you are standing or rapid firing.
I do believe it's a great mechanic if it's been implemented for that reason. It adds a depth of skill to be learned to the game, similar to, but not as advanced as Cs:Go.
I personnel would like to lead a group of outlaws in this one, robbing trains, banks and stage coaches, maybe see some side of the Natives play into the story. Similar to how many Western movies are portrayed.
Either way if there last game is anything to go by, I'm certain they won't disappoint.
From first glance, the E3 Demo has a sharper and less washed out colour pallet, but this could be down to the monitor settings and quality. Also a visible difference in detail and lighting if you're looking for it.
Just a shame they didn't keep the NPC count the same, one of the perks of open world is the emersion.
I too am not taking sides, but your opinion on promising something and not actually agreeing to certain features (Which a lot of other people defending the game seem to also state), is rather naïve.
This game clearly breaches consumer protection acts, showing signs of false and misleading advertising in various video's and interviews. (For any proof you require check out Angry Joe's 'No Man Sky review').
For the record, misleading advertiseme...
Has anyone done an article on 'Dead Island 2' and 'Dying light'?
Isn't 'Dying light' being made by the 'Dead Island 1' development team. Either way it's really confusing, and with both games launching around the same time in 2015 (Feb/spring) it makes purchasing even harder.
Dying light seems very promising with it's day/night survival aspect and parkour implements, where as dead island 2 aims to be light-hearted and fun. ...
If it's truly the same build as shown in the 14minute walkthrough that was presented, couldn't they reconstruct the whole gameplay, with same times of day, weather, shadow effects, etc. with the latest build of the game. To bring true light on the controversy?
Everything that made this game look truly next gen quality, has been removed. The graphics, weather, visual effects, combat performance, etc. and then replaced by a washed down, cartoony visual, that is not even up to GTA V graphical standard, which is only on current gen.
Steam lets its community change there user name any place, any time (Even mid-game) for free.
Instead, the console community receive a 'change at your own risk', 'money grabbing' alternative.
