Not really, Bungie and PD were amazing last year. Heavy Rain's devs took a huge leap and it paid off. Not sure about that Wii dev 'cause I haven't played any of there games though.

Hardware is irrelevant to Ninty. The Wii has made them filthy rich with Xbox 1 graphics.
Thats not the biggest problem though, Crysis devs already admitted that Crysis 1 wasn't well optimized. Crysis 2 runs very well with medium range cards thanks to optimizations and the better cryengine 3. Crysis 1 without any mods would run at like 20 fps with no AA at 1080p on max settings with my 5770 but Crysis 2 runs at 45-50 fps at 1080p with AA. That is a huge step in optimization.

What we are seeing are a mass casualization of games. All the big hitters will be lame party games while many hardcore games will be ignored. Sadly it looks like the future of gaming might be headed that direction. Teen girls and young women are the largest consumer population.
