Given SE's history, and the prominent Xperia branding (and lack of "PlayStation" or "PS" branding), I'd guess that you're probably wrong.
Agreed. I can't see Sony Computer Entertainment handing over a set of keys to the mobile gaming kingdom to Sony Ericsson, who's history is shaky at best when it goes beyond feature phones.
It very likely could be a bad move that could hurt their mobile strategy.
It's certainly a far cry from what Sony has done with marketing the Move (not saying one is better than the other). The Move just kind of appeared on shelves, without any kind of reaching out to the general population, while MS is pushing this at people who would fit more in the casual gamer category.
Karum: I know those are the official symbols, but that licensing the symbols and branding it the PlayStation Phone are two different things. My point is that I'm sure SCE doesn't want to license the PlayStation brand itself, given Sony Ericsson's history with phones.
