well they tried with Dark Void (and failed) and attempted to reboot Bionic Commando (arguably new-ish), but again failed.
Blue Castle's Dead Rising 2 looks incredible though, so here's hoping after this, those cats are given free reign under Capcom ownership to create a truly awesome new IP
such a shame, MT Framework would have made The Thing look amazing, and I don't even wanna think about how good Nemesis or Tyrant would have looked

I fail to see how Natal, a wireless 3D motion-tracking system is in anyway copying Sony, who clearly copied Nintendo even down to the inclusion of a Nunchuk - moreover, Sony clearly had to reveal "Move" at last year's E3 after seeing Natal at Microsoft's press conference, otherwise the plan was to show it properly at this year's E3 - that's called damage control, and they still looked behind the mark.

for a fact, these guys (AusGamers) played it on Apocalyptic (hard), but the puzzles are very outside-the-box throughout and get harder as the game progresses, IGN were likely talking about enemy challenge, or may not have made it through to the bitter end to see just how challenging it gets... this is not an easy game
I don't think this reviewer fully understands the marriage between borrowed gameplay elements. It's in taking these memorable machinations and applying them to their own script with more complex puzzles, that the game does make it own imprint... I think the IGN and AusGamers reviews said it better

How much did you actually play Fanboi? And did you just play the whole thing as a brawler? You can almost play the whole game from the shadows - which means, by definition, you're saying something like MGS then is a beat 'em up.
The idea behind the game is to utilise Batman's skills and abilities, beyond his awesome fighting skills
