The sense of entitlement so many people seem to feel is astounding. Even the argument that 'loyal' Sony fans are losing out because they already own the games is ridiculous. Would you whine at a publisher because you 'loyally' bought a game at full price on release and then a year later your 'casual' mate got it for a tenner, no, you chose to buy it full price because you wanted it, you pays your money you takes your choice! No matter what games selection Sony offered,...
Couldn't have said it better myself!
All these 'how will Sony survive' articles about the downtime are just so stupid, of course it'll survive, what will happen when it comes back online, will all the complainers boycott it and rush out to buy Xbox's instead, no, they'll be back on CoD or whatever other multiplayer game they can't live without within minutes to make up for lost frags. Honestly it worries me how so many people are finding it so hard to cope without online gaming for like a week or two, pla...
Er, this isn't big news, you could do new game+ in ME2, you just start a new game and imported your character from another save game
At last we can hear the end of this rubbish, in the end a simple case of common sense prevailing. Geohot was never going to 'win' against Sony and eventually accepted this and settled. He never had a strong enough case and regardless of what anybody says about true motives, hacking inevitably leads to piracy (and you can claim 'homebrew' all you want, if you want to develop your own software, there are plenty of PC development suites and OS out there that are 100% free and leg...
I used to buy games day 1 all the time if they were ones I particularly wanted when I lived with ym folks and payed low rent, nowadays I have bills to pay and mostly refuse to pay more than £20, £25 if it's something I really want badly. Just can't justify spending that kind of money on every game I like the look of any more, there's about 3 games coming out this year I'd be prepared to pay full price for (Portal 2, Mass Effect 3, Elder Scrolls 5), and that's onl...
Agree there are games out there on 360 that heavily support user content, the big difference is that they all use inbuilt creation tools (e.g. Halo's Forge mode), the PC versions of games have always had massively more expansive possibilities as they're not confined to in game creation modes, possibilities that have always been closed off to console gamers, the cross compatibility here is an impressive feature
How about the lasting value of regular exercise?
Biggest fail of that article, apart the obvious of making huge deals out of minor niggles that don't see how they actually detract from the experience unless you actively want them to, is where he complains that the alien species 'all speak English and have human mannerisms'.
I think somebody already pointed out that there's an in game explanation that everybody has translators so they can communicate with other species, plus what would he prefer, the aliens to all speak foreign...
I continue to find myself amused that people actually remotely care which console sold more copies, does it really matter in the slightest?!
Seems like every other arcitle on N4G these days is just flame war bait, oh look another 'PS3 game vs completely different Xbox 360 game' article, yawn.
No I haven't seen the video (stupid work internet restrictions!) but the overwhelming opinion seems to be that KZ2 has the more impressive graphics, so well done KZ2, but personally, I couldn't care less which game has "ZOMG teh best graphix eva", graphics are nothing without gameplay and to try and compare gameplay bet...
Why it is that nobody can ever accept that something is simply a mistake, not everything is a corporate fanboy conspiracy theory people, just cos they work for a game review site doesn't change the fact that they're only human and just as susceptable to making mistakes as any of us!
Besides, even if there is any truth to these consipracy accusations, seriously who cares?! What difference does it make if they actually did try to make one version look better than the other (which I...
Agreed, must admit the friendly AI did look a little suspect in one of the vids (I swear at one point in one of the vids I saw the teammate just running in circles between 2 cover points!) so I wouldn't be surprised if the final game is one that's excellent played as it's meant ot be in co-op, but less impresive as a single player game, I eagerly await reviews of this one
I've had my eye on this one for a while now, I love co-op games so the idea of a game specifically designed around that always appealed, the co-op moves look really cool and like they'll properly emphasise working together rather than just running through the level together like a lot of co-op games often play out (not that that's a bad thing as i love being able to play through a game with a friend backing me up anyway, just even cooler to have some special co-op moves). I just have my finge...
Quite frankly, I find the never ending debate about which game on which system has the best graphics both pointless and tiresome. Regardless of which game eventually takes the crown for best graphics, both of them are going to look amazing, so at the end of the day who cares which one has the edge in graphical prowess, they're both going to be great games so all that really matters is which game you prefer playing, or if you own both systems, then you're just in a win win situation, besides, ...
Sounds to me like a GTA fan trying to get philosophical about his hopes for his favourite franchise to sound clever rather than just spouting 'its teh awesome!' or some such drivel, only it just sounds really pretentious and frankly a load of crap
"There aren’t many games that are actually about something"
Um, every game I've ever played has been about 'something', they kind of have to be otherwise they'd just be a load of characters ...
