This is great news If it's going to be around $500 I may actually go ahead and step up my new 9800gtx after it launches.
Ya that's definitely backwards, it would be the deal of the century though!
Yeah with all the hype and the reputation of GTA, it's hard to even think that Rockstar won't be piss drunk in cash after this is all said and done!
Where did you get the idea that the PS3 version is cheaper? The article said they are both $120?
I won't consider Blu-ray "current gen" until it holds a more significant market share, I see it as DVD is and will be current gen for 1-2 more years until Blu ray is absorbed by the majority of the market. Conversely, VHS is definitely last gen.
And come one man, there definitely is a difference between blu ray and dvd, that is really undeniable.
I'm just going to say I won't make a decision on whether or not I'm going to care about this until we know what the extra content is. I'm getting it for the ps3 though cause I'm not going to buy a 360 just to play one game.
Honestly I'm completely to take that bet...
I don't think it will have much impact on Sony's Market share, and more importantly how is it profitable shelling out over a Billion $'s in warranty extensions and repairs?
haha bubbles for humor, I'll make that trade any day, lol.
Wow I can't figure out which of your two statements I agree with more! They are both SPOT ON!
PS3 owners KNOW that because of blu-ray games are going to continue to get bigger (that's not just speculation bud) but we also know that adding more content takes more time (seriously you think you're the only one to figure that out?) The fact is that as games continue to grow and expand we will have the capabilities to play them whereas you will either have a collection of multiple discs (for each game) or need a new console to keep up. Blu ray does matter now and it will only continue t...
Yeah I think blu ray is that much better than DVD. Why would we have to install 25 gb to play it?? What other games do you have to install 25Gb?? (5Gb sure, but fortunately we all have HDD's to do that on) and more importantly why would we have to install 25Gb when we know the entire game fits onto a DVD9 for the 360? What's stupid is thinking about how much bigger this game could have been if it didn't have to be crushed down to fit on the 360.... Bummer
Ya I remember Madden 64, that's when I first started playing madden (and it had already been around a few years I believe at the time). The sad truth is in the last 10 years madden hasn't really changed. Sure there's better graphics and a few new animations but once you've played 3 games you've seen every possible tackle combo there is. I would definitely give madden up in a heartbeat if this game is even half as cool as it appears to be. It would be kind of weird to not be playing as the...
I have to agree with what you said about those 360's without a HDD. It would seem that they are in exactly the same boat as us PS3 owners. I can't believe that MSFT would put out such a significant download when not even every one of their own users can download?!?! Just doesn't make sense to me.
Actually It only holds 8.5 gigs genius. Maybe you should check your facts before you go around calling other people idiots.
Now how can you jump the gun like that!? Didn't you read the article!!! HDUD has the super mega blockbuster hit TWISTER coming out (even though it's been out for 10 years) to save the day!!! lol I just don't know if I would call that movie "product in the pipeline" or "high-profile???"
Agreed, I don't see the next gen consoles somehow dropping back into the $300 range where the last gen were. Plus Consoles aren't what make the big money for the companies as far as I know.
That is a ton of storage space for such a short amount of video! I suppose it's a good thing they're working on HVD discs that will hold up to 4tb of info but if what you said is true that won't even be worth much in the world of tomorrow.
The only play Toshiba could have left is to ditch all their sh*t and jump ship, oh wait that's already going on.
By the way punctuation marks, such as periods (the little dot at the end of the previous sentence [see above]) greatly aid in deciphering the mumbo-jumbo you have managed to ramble together into a semi-coherent quasi-statement.
So If I already have an EVGA 9800gtx, my question is should I buy another one and SLI them or should I step it up to the gtx 260? Either way will cost exactly the same. Any Ideas?
