MS and Sony are just NOW making profit on their respective consoles. It would be dumb on their part to release another "super computer" that is $400 and not make a profit for a couple of years. MS is still hell bent on market share and Sony is still hell bent on overtaking 360 overall sales.
Nintendo already won this gen because they will reach 100 million consoles way before PS3/360. Why not release a new console and still make profit while the competition are tryi...
Its more like "Fadcore" if anything. Nintendo just wants a bigger piece of the 3rd party market share since it's 1st is so dominate. Guns, boobs, and cursing does not mae a game hardcore.

I seen something similar last year and when rumors swirled this came to mind. Playing apps on it would be cool.
the wait is getting ridiculous. I expect Pikmin 3, The Grinder and DQX to be Wii 2 games since they "are in development" for the Wii with no new updates in sight.
Plus add in CoD, BF:BC3, Madden and other 3rd party games we could get this sooner than later.

and 2GB of RAM. 3DS, PSP and NGP (at least) will use 2GB of RAM as a pack in SD card format. Wii2 will use at least that for games.
is Dragon Quest X a launch title, because its been in production for Nintendo for a while.
When MS takes all 360 consumers for a ride yearly, by making newer versions yearly, mass banning and contradicting themselves almost daily.
Wii, PS3 and 360 are all old tech and the traditional 4-5 year time line is up. Come on new consoles!!

I already own all of the GCN remakes of RE and the current releases as well. Need a new RE fix capcom.
KZ3 will be hard to top with effects, and console cycles last about 5 years anyway. Plus anybody that is any kind of gamer know that SE has only delivered on handhelds this generation.
MS and Nintendo are due, maybe over due. Also usually the 1st one to 100 million wins, and we all know who that is.....

it must be capable of at least 1080p @ 60fps. Manufacturing a console that can run it should not hurt Nintendo's bottom line.
It could launch with DQX, Grinder, Zelda(b/c Wii game) and hopefully a fighter.
Only on HD consoles is that dumb logic true, on the Wii smaller studios can still make a profit. On HD consoles you have to cater to a shallow group of gamers and funding is needed to maximize the HD consoles graphic engines.
However, LBP and Demon Souls are examples of smaller studios finding success on HD platforms.
Teh OMG it's almost here.... Cannot wait until I get my 3DS. cannot wait until Tales of Abyss 3D, Paper Mario and Star Fox 64 3D are released.

All 3 competed for our money this gen. Nintendo just happened to win, by hook or crook. Now they sit in a very good position to take a chunk of the HD market if they can future proof Wii2 just enough so that it will still be eligible for future PS4 3rd party games.
