I need a true next gen JRPG, something like a mix of FFIX with HD graphics (lighting, animation, physics) and sound.
We still do not have this type of game on any of the 3 platforms and that is a real shame since SE is supposed to be the leader in JRPGs.
I have no faith in FF Vs XIII, because its supposed to be a mix of FF and KH. I hate KH games, and need something more traditional to satisfy me needs.

Blazblue was decent but lacked in comparison to GGXX:AC, still play BB, but all of my tournament buddies have moved on from it.

I love the Wii and PS3 they take care of my gaming needs. Im still playing Dreamcast, SNES and N64 daily so I tend not to care too much about the fanboy HD war. My DS and PSP both serve their purpose as well.

Looks really slick, and if they can get the 1:1 motion and lag correctly it may be a viable alternative to the M/KB.
Im a WiiPS3 owner and I do not buy crap quality games on either console. No more spinoff titles and rail shooters. 3rd parties not only need to create solid Wii games but advertise them as well. Where were the RE: Darkside commercials? Where were the Dead Space Wii commercials?? Oh, I guess we are all supposed to get our info from the internet.

Nintendo would have still be winning by a wider margin because the Wii would have been HD at launch and the only console with motion controls.
Zelda, Galaxy, SSBB, Prime 3 and other would have been HD and they would have a stronger 3rd party presence than what they have now.
HD graphics are the only thing holding back Nintendo from truly wiping out both PS3/360.
We are still here gaming. The thing is the majority of us are happy with the Wii console, even though they lack 3rd party support. That's why Wii owners have a PS3/360 for the multiplats.
If the Wii had the same type of effects of the HD consoles now, there would be no reason to even buy another console. So, with that said keep churning out the AAA 1st party titles Big N.
Few buddies of mine do a Wii night where Yagerbombs and 32 packs are involved. On one of these nights I bowled my first 300 WiiBowling game, it was a paparazzi moment with everyone taking pictures.
On topic, I would not challenge that feat because that could be achieved by any skilled Wii player.

As far as I know the PS3 sphere wand allows for 1:1 motion, as well as the Wii motion+. Not too sure if Natal allows for 1:1 motion, but time will tell.
The difference is though that MS/Sony are going to need a 1st party killer app to make people play with the new devices. Wii had Twilight Princess so everyone who wanted to play Zelda had to adapt.

I have been on N4G for a while now, and have noticed the trends that you hit on. I would consider myself a hardcore traditional gamer, owning around 13 consoles and playing each one on different occasions. I have stated on numerous post that I usually play: Wii, PS3, Dreamcast, SNES and N64 because that is what I and my gang of friends tend to play.
