Saying the PS3 is "expensive" is such a load of BS! That argument is so narrow. Sure, if you were to look at the consoles strictly by price, of course you'd think the PS3 was overpriced. But then look at what it offers: guaranteed HDD space for future developers to utilize with games, a fantastic looking and sounding movie player (Blu-ray is an outstanding technology), built in wi-fi (except for those who got one of the original 20Gig models... sorry guys), free online play, blue to...
But you're not going to buy a PS3 anyway... so what do you care?
But I think backwards compatibility is a little overrated. I love my PS2 games, and I'll keep playing them.... on my PS2. The way I see it, most people who are going to buy the PS3 already have a PS2, and if not... they won't have any PS2 games to be pissed about not working in their PS3 anyway. So what's the big deal?!

I can't wait to try and play a game with a one second delay on everything I tell the paddle to do. That ought to be fun when playing any game online.

I'm afraid the hd-dvd format is seeing the last of its days, God rest it's inferior soul.
that means we're all in for another glitch filled OS to deal with! YAY! I can't wait to not use it! I'll stick with XP for the time being; they've seemed to work out most the glitches on that one.
All this means is microsoft wants to sucker more people into forking over more cash... let's face it, microsoft thinks only of its wallet and not its customers.
They're just trying to save themselves from having any deadweight inventory when the HD-DVD camp eventually admits defeat. In most places this kind of thing is called "clearance."
