Surely microsoft can't be that clueless? Do they really think just releasing a more powerful console would help them compete with playstation? I think they're doing it to atleast try and end the gen strongly and try to get on everybody's good side but it's mainly good games that does that, not just hardware. The switch is a perfect example.
Ain't gonna happen. Ps4 sold over 20m for 2017 while switch sold 10m in 9 months. Ps4 is easily outselling it. If switch can manage 20m in 2019 it still won't gain anything on ps4 because ps4 will also do around 20m aswell. It's simple math and really not hard to figure out. Switch wont have the longevity of the ps4 either. The ps4 would have to slow down alot for the switch to gain any sales on it.

Sony had the best year overall but I could see why some would go with nintendo after how badly things went with the wii u. I guess people are just happy nintendo are back but yea, sony had the best year because they sold the most hardware and software and had the most new game releases overall.
Same but 90s for me. Snes and n64 are my earliest gaming memories. It's where my love of playing games started. I've owned every nintendo console apart from the nes ( i was a baby at that time) and wii u. I'm always happy to see nintendo doing well. We're lucky to have 2 great consoles like ps4 and switch at the same time.

They must have sold like 1.5m in December than? Unless ps4 somehow managed to sell more than Novembers 1.66m, switch should win December npd. Nintendo have always been strong in the US.
Microsoft need to just concentrate on making games before they can even think about making a comeback. They should just focus on xbox and forget about playstation. Try to finish the gen strongly and go from there.

It's been a really bad year for xbox. Down year over year with hardware and software. It might get worse in 2018 with how strong sony and nintendo are looking. Whats there to be really hyped about for xbox in 2018? All their games look weak. Nobody's going to be rushing to buy an xbox for crackdown 3 or sea of thieves.
Why the heck does new Vegas have such a mixed reputation? You got some saying it's the worst fallout yet we have others saying it's the best fallout without question. Personally I never completed new Vegas because I was fatigued from hundreds of hours of fallout 3 and there was alot of other games at the time. I do remember it being a damn good fallout game with an overwhelming amount of choices. The hate it gets is unfair.
I think there's still hope for mass effect. No lootbox bs, call it mass effect 4 and bring back shepard and the characters we all love and maybe theres a chance to revive the series.
Crackdown 3, sea of thieves and forza is nothing. Nobody but a few blind xbox fanboys wants to play that trash. One of sonys exclusives Alone would outsell all of them combined.
Done forget detroit. . Quantic dream have a big following and shouldn't be underestimated. I myself loved heavy rain and beyond was pretty good too.
Yeah those 3 are 2019 releases. Sony will have god of war, shadow remake, spiderman, detroit and days gone for 2018. That's a spectacular exclusive lineup. Than You have major 3rd party games too, one of which will be red dead redemption 2 which sony have teamed up with rockstar to market and advertise. I think sony are about to have their best year yet with the ps4. Greatness has arrived.
They should cancel crackdown 3 with how bad it's shaping up to be. It's a guaranteed flop at this point. Might as well cancel it and save the embarrassment. It will make xbox look bad having crackdown 3 and sea of thieves against the likes of God of war and spiderman. It's literally free advertising for Sony from Microsoft.

Meanwhile over at microsoft nobody's hyped about games that we know alot about simply because they look like shite. Nobody wants to play trash like crackdown 3 and sea of thieves. With Sony, people are already hyped without even seeing much of the game because of their good track record and reputation.

Things change all the time. The naughty dog that worked on crash bandicoot are completely different to the ones that worked on the first uncharted. Now 10 years on from that, it ain't the same naughty dog making last of us 2. Naughty dog are experts at shifting things up and moving with the time's.
