Well it was NFL2K5 that lit a fire under EA's a$$...The NFL2K series made a checks and balances against EA's stronghold on sports titles...Ever since they bought the NFL license with NO competitors...They've become quite stagnant on progressing the Madden series because they are without competition.
If NFL2K wasn't a legit threat why did EA buy the NFL license to begin with?
"Sony will know that it needs to bring some heat in the exclusives department." Of course Sony knows, they did it with PS3 so one can assume they will do it even more so with PS4.
The Getaway: Eight Days or nothing at all...I wouldn't mind another open world crime game based in real-world modern day London.
Welp at least John Carmack is trying to put practical use to the OcuFace deal...Might be a pretty cool concept if done with the right implementation.
Oh boy...You set yourself open for a whirlwind of backlash. You tried a stealthy troll attempt over a person leaving ND with two bubbles? lol Goodluck.
lol...Bubz...I chuckled.
I can see the authors point but some peripherals usually expand the gameplay to certain games themselves. (Think Nintendo Power Pad all the way from the 80's till the XBO Kinect presently). I do agree the Kinect should probably be sold separately and bought at the discretion of the gamer.
lol...So much hate and bitterness in this thread over a game. It's crazy.
Wow...That all seeing all knowing crystal ball of yours is broken.
Oh dear lol, this is going to be an interesting comment read. Going to tag for later.
This argument is getting stale. You say, "how do you know the xbox one won't sell in those territories?"
Microsoft released the XBO based on the metric of "tier countries", so let's say tier 1 countries are the 1st world countries of a high population of people with disposable income which is where most XBO sales are anyway.
Regardless of if XBO released in "tier 2" or "tier 3" countries, do you seriously think ...
Exactly...Determined or not the Wii-U is still a competitor to both PS4/XBO and seeing as the XBO hasn't surpassed it yet, I wouldn't count Wii-U out either. In the mean time, Sony made all the right moves this time and learned to correct their mistakes from the PS3 gen.
Omega Boost from Polyphony Digital, PaRappa The Rapper (Yes I am serious), Syphon Filter, Twisted Metal, and Ape Escape!
Thats all good WB..But I want my new F.E.A.R...Wouldn't even mind a reboot to the original.
Urban Legend #0: The Cake is a Lie.
This author makes an interesting quote, "I put "win" in quotations because I always thought it was silly to determine a "winner" at an event where the industry is supposed to "win."
This is a good perspective to go by unlike the stigma making E3 out to be like some type of martial arts tournament or sporting event where the "best man" (or team) wins. Bottom line is the gamers "win" at E3, whether that gamer be a Wii-U, P...
I'm looking forward to this project. Hopefully it can't be much worse the Aliens: Colonial Marines was. They'd have to be aiming extremely low to surpass that type of sub par quality.
@dodgemoose
You just invalidated your own comment. If they pay less for a more powerful system, more than likely they already know the more powerful system has better resolution throughput (hence the gamer backlash with "resolution-gate") anyway. In addition, the idiom you quoted "each to their own" is wrong as well. Should be "to each their own" but thanks for the grammar lesson otherwise.
"People went from a game they never heard of, to hype like crazy"...
I'm certain you must've meant Titanfall.
Nintendo has a market cap somewhere around ~20 billion USD which is around what the Sony Corp is worth. Compared to Sony juggling many balls, Nintendo only has to juggle hardware and software. There was no reason beyond what I can think why the Wii-U wasn't beasted on the spec side.
Initially it was going to have a IBM Power 7 CPU and a Radeon 5870 equivalent GPU. Then they decided to reduce the power which in turn made some gamers and developers chant "Wii-U isn'...
