I think is is good news. I honesly think that RPG games should all be multi-platform. Why should I have to buy a console to play an RPG games. hehe. I wish. Also, it is obvious move. I don't think bizzy12 is denying that Sony can't do this. Though it may not be able to... since blu-ray only supports MPEG-2 (common fact). Actually, if you PS3 fans stop being fanboys for 1 minute you would see "TheMART" has a valid point. I just pre-ordered a PS3 today. And one of the games I was looking foward to get was this one. Since FF or MSG will not be available at launch. I agree, It hurts to pay to play. specially in consoles... But the fact is; if people are paying to play FFXI (and they have millions of doing so), this game will also have its crowd. I don't know who to believe. It came out on the news and all over the net that HD-DVD has more movies in the market and blu-ray.
Only if I had a time machine! I would fast foward time to summer 2007 (since not everyone will be able to buy the PS3 this holydays). I no longer expect the PS3 to be as good as the 360. I expect it to be 1,000,000 times better. That whenever I play it I have to use diapers because I will be pissing and sh**ing all over my pants of exitement. With all the hype and the confident of Sony and their fanboys; good is not enough. I also spect to use it to communicate with aliens with it.
$9.99? Ouch! I was hopping this game would be free. But that's unrealistic condering that there are only 1 MMO free that's worth playing (Guilds wars). I already pre-ordered this game. So, I will play the free month + the beta period. If the game is worth; I will probably play it for a year if they let me do PVP on inocent people. ;)

I'm not sure is this is good news. It seems like developers have to use their own backend. As in the case of this company they are using Gamespy as their backend. It does not mention anything about voice communication, or how the game sessions are created. Hopefully Sony also provides a network for developers that do not have the infrastructure or the tecnical resources to run their own backend; if not you will see many developers leaving the online features out of the picture. For a second I almost believed what they were saying until I got to this, "PS3 generates less heat and noise than the combination of 360 and powerbrick"; they I realized they are bias. Who asked them about the 360? Or why should they mention the 360 when the reports about the PS3 had nothing to do with the 360?

1) Who said they went to see the PS3? Most people went to see the wii. And to see what all consoles were going to bring in. (too bad the PS3 was a disapointment).
