I must admit that it seems weird for this to be sponsored by libraries, but I guess that comes with mainsteam acceptance right. I think we can thank the Wii for that!
Honestly, it wouldn't take much to improve over the abomination that was the 360 version. It was pretty horrible!

I have heard it described as nothing more than a COD4 WWII skin pack. I would like to think they are wrong, but more often than not, this seems to be the case.
Interesting approaches to gameplay like this, make me really want to buy an iPhone.
the quality is pretty bad, but the product is pretty cool... it is a shame that I can't find if something like this is for sale, because I would be all over that!
I think you are echoing the sentiments of most gamers... the online component looks solid, but it will certainly not match up to COD 4
I think that WWII games need to be put out to pasture... hell, they have been making WWII games for longer than the war took to complete! It is just getting old.

Did you notice that there is no longer pop-in? Textures all fade in now... It is much less distracting.
I have to say that I am a pretty lucky guy. Not only does my wife play Gears of War with me in Coop, but she has played through all three halos and we have completed both Halo 2 and 3 in Legendary Coop. She is quite the gal... plus, she is even a good cook, so I am set for life! ;)
The way I played the first gears is to hammer through it the first time through for review on normal, then amp it up to insane (which is unlocked after completing it in normal mode) and play it solo on insane, then I play it in coop with my wife on insane...
I have this well planned out. As you can see I have been too excited about this game for far too long.
