I called both Sony and Microsoft and both of them are very helpful. I believe Sony received awards for their customer service which totally contradict what you have said.

i called up Sony support, I get American.
I called up Microsoft support, I get Indian. They're nice but they're also hard to understand. I had good experience with the Indians because I quite used to Indian slang since I worked with several Indian engineer before. I can see some people go crazy trying to understand them.

nice number, although PS3 can only sold 50k in NA per week, but PS3 has more constant rate. It will be nice if HD-DVD can keep that rate which is unlikely but still possible.

i think you are just misinformed, even in UK, there were still PAL 1080i only TV. For example Sony Wega 1080i CRT. All you need to do is look it up.

i think XBOX 360 life span will be 5 years and more, if they made HD-DVD a standard. and later more complex games forced early adoptor to upgrade to HD-DVD player. In that case, their lifespan will definately more than 5 years.
