I am sure its is sold out, don't know anywhere by me that had more than a couple stocked.
For every average review there are good ones. Such a divisive game, loving it myself!
Based on all the xbox fanboy postings on this site they need not bother as apparently it's an over hype piece of crap.
This article is incorrect, Sean Murray has clarified further this morning.

get why but there seems to be so many people jumping on NMS which I suspect have not even played it, seems its the cool thing to jump on hype games / trash a game that's not coming to system.
Nobody has been misled, Hello games have told people over and over what NMS is and have tried to control expectations. Also the video of players meeting is likely fake, if you have played the game and opened the intersteller map you would know why. besides the fact the time of day...
I love how empty the game can be sometimes and I love how rammed full of life it can be also. Not every planet is hospitable however they can be fun to explore exspecially looking for rare minerals and items.
I disagree, loving the ambiguity and the trial and error aspects of the game. Not every experience needs to be guided or have your hand held through it.
I am absolutely loving the game (I am not a minecraft fan.) I even got up in the middle of the night to continue my adventures!!
Absolutely loving the game so far (2 hours in) so much to see and do. Sure lots will love it, but as Sean Murray said it will divide opinion.
Also if you are interested in this game avoid guides, this game is all about exploring and discovery and trial and error
Just got my copy (a day early!) this is not indie game this is something else. It's incredible, never seen or played a procedurally generate game like this ever.
Review without day one patch pointless.
Lol at those people that disagree, I am sorry that a couple of my local stores had stock!
Edit: for the sale of fairness other stores local to me had no stock (some had not been supplied though.)
Walked into 2 local UK shops and they all have stock!
Not talking 4k (TVS already upscale to 4k and have done for a few years.) I am talking about power brick, smaller Form factor and dropping kinetic.
Not really, more of a self learned lesson by Microsoft of how the One should have been 2 years ago.
Not used it once and unlikely ever will. I like to look forwards not backwards!
You don't get free games on xbox, you pay for them. My point is the games included in your subscription are they worth owning xbox for if you own a pc.
True but you can get emulations of most retro games for free and pay alot less for your games through steam etc.
The technology used in the game itself probably made development expensive. Hello has confirmed they will continue to update the game wi new features etc, I just think a lot of people read the headlines of post NMS release and not the actual story and come away believing the game was something it is not.
Ps I like the game and feel it is worth the money.
