They're actually a very good developer. The first 3 Spyro games are some of the best platformers ever made. The main Ratchet and Clank games have been consistently excellent and Resistance 3 is one of my favourite games in the FPS genre.
Oh and Sunset Overdrive hasn't flopped since it hasn't even been released yet. Will it sell crazy amounts of copies? Probably not, but if it's well received by critics, I think you'll be surprised by how well it sells.
Better sales mean better 3rd party support and more funding for first party projects.
I really like Markiplier personally. TotalBiscuit, Caddicarus, Angry Joe. there's loads of better candidates for that award IMO.
You include Sunset Overdrive but not LBP 3? Give me a break.
Oh my god. The Groom. Creepiest enemy ever?
PS4 is a beast. Europe and Japan are practically won at this stage.
Why? Because the game doesn't hold your hand? Because there aren't QTE's every five seconds? Because it's not all about guns and explosions? The Evil Within is my favourite game of this new generation.
Yes, the mechanics aren't perfect and technically it's a bit of a mess, but I'd rather have a game with a few dodgy mechanics that require practice to master than most of these modern games that barely have any mechanics at all. They practically play themselv...
Survival horror games have always insisted you meet them halfway. The mechanics are never perfect, but when you finally accept them for what they are, they are some of the most enjoyable games out there.
You don't see the new game from the guy that brought us Demon Souls and Dark Souls being any good? Oh dear lord, maybe you should just stop talking.
Outlast gets a lot of hate now for some reason. It's still a great survival horror game and one if the scariest games I've ever played.
The game is a friggin masterpiece and the best game so far of this gen.
Art Direction: Superb. Every location is different and very creepy. Imagine a mix between resident evil and silent hill and you have The Evil Within.
Enemy design: some of the most unique and grotesque monster designs in a survival horror game. Fantastic.
Pacing: Perfect. Some of the best pacing I've ever seen in a video game. It never gets repetitive.
This isn't true. End of.
It's fine at the price it is. The games on PS4 that have been free with plus have been good but not outstanding. I would be happy to pay 50 for more of the same but if the price increases, they're going to have to provide more quality content.
It's nice if they do bring it to the PS4 for the people who want to play it, but I don't think I'm alone when I say that I really have no interest in playing it.
My opinion is different people will prefer different exclusives. For me I chose the PS4 because it's exclusives interest me more.
Infamous, Resogun, TLOU, Oddworld New N Tasty, LittleBigPlanet 3, Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, Ratchet & Clank Remake, Velocity 2x and others.
The Xbox One has a lot to offer too, but i'm not really a Halo guy, a lot of the games can also be played on PC, and the only other game I can think of that I would like to play is Scalebound.
Was one of the best survival horrors I've ever played. Enjoyed it immensely.
In your opinion..
It's great. There's a few minor pacing issues here and there but apart from that, I have no problem giving the game an 8 or a 9.
Happy about the 60fps. Hope this becomes the norm with console games this generation although it seems highly unlikely.
I love how Xbox fanboys constantly say the PS4 has no games, when most of their games are on PC.
