Is this not a game already release called 'Second Life' ?

Beginner electric guitar doesn't cost any more than GH3 guitar.

Except for about the same price as a fake GH guitar you can buy a basic beginner's guitar with pickups.

Sounds like a win-win to me.

Why should someone have to face ridicule for this? I have "hebrew" in my tag and get torn apart constantly. Is it supposed to be my fault that you're a prick?

I missed the part where Blizzard owes you something. When exactly did they say that they would give you new IPs every couple of years? Did you get it in writing?

I for one think that Diablo and MMO go well together. Clearly plenty of people besides you think that WoW is lots of fun and not representative of laziness on Blizzard's part.

And why do you say you could never love an MMO? Does playing with other people bother you? Because that's the only thing an ...

Yea, because providing people who don't need free stuff with free stuff is what all successful businesses should do.

I love it when Honda gives away those free cars... and Wal-Mart gives away free TVs

Really? Because you don't need to pay to play, only pay for higher-end access. It's kinda like WoW letting you level your character to 40 for free. Seems kind of cool to me when the market would clearly bear a $15/ month fee right out of the gate.

If you read the rest of that page, he goes on to talk about all the ways that Console gaming nickel-and-dimes you after your initial investment. The Xbox 360 may only be half of that, but then you need a TV, and a Live Subscription, and games cost $10 more a piece. There are lots of freebies available on the PC also, whether it's user-made mods or freeware indie games or GameTap.com that you just can't get (yet) in the console world. It adds up, especially when you consider that your $800 ...

You're misunderstanding.
It's not a constant swapping of discs. All three discs contain all of the world content, it's just the story elements that are split up. So once you advance the story to disc two you'll never have to go back to disc 1. Even the old towns and dungeons are on the new disc so there is no "swapping" just two changes during the course of the entire game.

This isn't a very informative review. 1UP has taken a turn for the worse with this for sure.

It's about 200 words long, talks ONLY about the difficulty of the controls, and then gives it a low score. That's not a review, that's a brief complaint.

There is no talk of any of the off-ice features like franchise mode or online leagues or sim options or player development or scouting. It's fine that he didn't like the controls and is going to demerit points for th...

I also work at a PC all day long and I don't find anything work-like about playing games on my PC. I have a gamepad controller plugged in for games that require it, but I prefer the control and flexibility of a KB&M. Maybe you just have a crappy chair at home, but my PC chair allows me to relax many feet from my monitor, wireless KB on my lap, sippin' on gin n juice... :)

Like I said, it was only an example to highlight the difference between an actual PC and plugging a KB&M into your PS3. The PS3 is a highly specialized computer and at the end of the day you could spend as much on a mid-range PC with more power and more flexibility than a PS3.

For me, it's exactly the opposite. I feel much more comfortable in an office chair with a keyboard and mouse. Not that some gaming experiences aren't better from the sofa (Blue Dragon anyone? That game is hot!). But I love me some Civilization and MMO action from my PC.

I'm also more comfortable with the level of control I have over my PC. Voice chat hardware and software, firewall, xfire, etc... Those are options that I value and I don't mind having paid extra to have th...

Exactly!

Except once you add in all the extra stuff you need to do that, keyboard, mouse, and monitor or TV, you're at the same price point as a computer. Except, it's not as powerful as a computer at that price point. I mean, I'm sure in raw numbers it is as powerful, but I betcha running UT3 under Linux (will it urn on Linux? I don't even know, it's just an example) it won't run as well or as high a quality as a PC would run it at the same price point.

And as long as we're talking TCO, how about that $700 HDTV you need in order for Bioshock to play at "MAX" on your console?

On the pc you get a monitor that supports 1080P resolution for $250.

6819d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'd rather the console companies focus on making a console that has some extra features.

How about always letting me hook up a keyboard and mouse. Internet connectivity for online gaming without an additional cost. Heck, let me browse the web and load my own email software on the console so I can check my email. Heck, allow any software so I can edit videos and pictures and listen to or create music. Open the platform so I can download mods that other people have made for g...

I won't claim I built mine for $400, but for $1200 I got a dual-core processor, 19" widescreen monitor, 320GB of hard drive, dual layer DVD burner, Logitech G5 gaming mouse, and 2 GBs of high speed memory. Bioshock ran well.

And when you're looking at the price, don't forget all of the other things that PCs can do that consoles can't. The online platform is incredibly mature, by which I mean most games are online capable and do not suffer the same lag/dc issues you see i...

It's a great game. Yea yea, the story is pretty retarded, but most video game stories are. If you haven't learned to ignore the story in a video game yet, your video game playing career is going to be a difficult one.

Once you get past that the game shines. It's beautiful looking, has a ton of customization, interesting and different ways to play, and good strategic fights.

6819d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

What's wrong with the Battle System? Multi-classing allows for incredible character customization, charged attacks allow you to develop a strategy on damage vs. speed of attack, on disc 3 the tension meter is introduced (think Limit breaks from FF7). Seriously, what is it that you're interested in that BD doesn't offer in the fighting department?
