i work at a sony centre and i can say hands down the ps3 is the best player,
in terms of video quality there is no difference with any of the stand alone models and the ps3 is by a huge margin the fastest loading of the three.
as for the articles who the hell cares about analog 5.1? you have an optical lead for 5.1 and lets face it if your into surround sound in a big way your are going to be using the audio via hdmi.
its taken me about a year but finally got my ps3 the other day, thing im most happy bout is blu ray. wont be ditching my 360 at all though

not when blank blu ray discs cost like 18 pounds. if they keep the blank disc price incredibly high then sony will win

maybe some aspects of home should be split into two grids. one for under 18s to interact with each other and one for over 18s. that way if any parents find there kids looking at mature content they know its there kids doing and they cant blame sony.

its a MMO blended fps it will be gameplay which decides if this is a success not graphics, look at WOW not fantastic graphically but hugley popular.
