whoever wrote this must be on drugs, the PS3 will be around longer than the PS2 was. it's not even at $199 price point yet.
Many seem to forget is that the PS3 hasn't hit the $179-$199 price point yet. that's what made the PS2 sold like hot bread. the PS3 has a BR Drive and swap-able HDD. it will be around for a long time.
Ps3 = Sackboy
Xbox = Masterchief
Nintendo = Mario

You can find BR drives up to 12x for $50US now so it's way faster and cheaper this time around.
a faster drive allows data to be read faster which leads to faster load times.

What gets me every time is that people seem to think the 360 stole most of Sony's market share never realizing that the market has grown way larger this gen. sure Sony has lost a few of it's market share but look at the numbers.
Wii = 90+ Mil
PS3 = 70+ Mil
X360 = 70+ Mil
total = 230 Mil+ combined sales in 7 years and still counting.
Now take a look at last gen
Ps2 = 155Mil in 12 years!!!
