I don't get why so many reviewers say that the second twist came out of nowhere. All the clues lead the plot to that conclusion, so the idea that it came out of nowhere makes no sense at all.
I suspect that, as the reviewers themselves admit, they missed a lot of clues. So yeah, if you don't pick up enough clues, you're going to be in the dark.
So this is not a fair criticism of the game. If anything, it says more about reviewers impatience to get...
I want more games to follow this mold precisely because there are far too many games out there that don't, and all those game types are getting stale.
There's plenty of room for games like Until Dawn that aren't constant twitch-fests. "Gameplay" (by which people seem to mean that you daren't take your hands off the controller for even a split-second) isn't everything, and not all gamers desire it. Some of us - and many folks who aren't gamers...
